Gail Russell... she loves design, runs on lattes... and a dream!
I have over 27 years experience working within the design industry... needless to say, it was not a job, it was a passion! Apart from enjoying creativity and 'all things Design', I also enjoyed colour specifying, print experimentation and designing surface patterns.
From an early age, I realised that design was my 'thing'. I put my heart and soul into each new project, and this passion for all things design is reflected in the creativity, care and attention to detail that I bring to each job.
Apart from creativity and searching for that illusive 'gem' of an idea, my roles historically have encompassed art direction, client liaison, costings, print management and artwork, repro and all-round organisation. I have a penchant for colour and patterns and offer colour specification and trend research.
I am skilled in the design and production of brochures, report & accounts, corporate identity, logo design, packaging, signage, exhibition design, website design proposals and much more. My design work has covered many sectors including within the Arts & Heritage, Science & Innovation, Education, Beauty & Healthcare and the Property sectors.
25 of my 27 years within the design industry were spent working at the UK-based design studio. Having started out as a Junior Designer, I was nurtured through the ranks, becoming a Creative Director. Then in 2019, I made the very hard, but exciting decision to move to Ireland with my little boy, and return to my maternal roots... which is where I now still enjoy being creative as a hobby, whilst enjoying the beautiful surroundings that the Irish countryside has to offer... a brand new start for me, and a new way of creating. In my spare time I want to explore surface pattern design, and develop further my portfolio within that domain.
